Bucky/Wanda ABO funtime
Bucky hasn't been back in the field long, but he's been given a relatively clean bill of health from the doctors in Wakanda and he can't stay there longer than he has to. After everything they've done for him--the cryo, the doctors, the new arm--Bucky can't bring trouble down on their heads, so once he's sure the triggers are gone, he's back with Steve and the others, doing what he can to help.
Suppressants won't work on his metabolism anymore, they said, so he'll have to return to Wakanda to wait out his heats, but that's okay. In the meantime, he's the only omega among their little group of fugitives and he doesn't mind it one bit.
HYDRA had used his nature against him, but Steve never has and he'd never keep anyone around who would, either. So while he doesn't trust any of them the way he trusts Steve, he trusts them in that and it's enough to work with them safely.
If he's quiet and withdrawn when anyone other than Steve is around, no one says anything about it in earshot and that's enough. He's still a good shot, still quick and strong, if a lot less ruthless than he'd been as the Winter Soldier. He's good backup and if they leave him flying the plane often, that's fine, too. It's not about him being an omega.
Today, he's flying the quinet with Wanda. They're supposed to pick the others up in a few hours if nothing goes wrong, but they have to be ready for a quick retreat or an early one. No man left behind, even if Steve would tell them to leave him if it even came to it. Bucky would never let him.
