[ Bucky's been running around taking out the various remnants of HYDRA and anyone else who needs taking out. Sometimes he works with the others, sometimes he goes off on his own, but either way he hasn't been back to the States in a while. It's not like he can get back in easily, being a fugitive, but outside of Steve and his friends, Blake had been a good ally and Bucky's been looking for a safe way to contact him.
Luckily, being involved in such a famous foundation makes him easy to stalk. Bucky hadn't even broken a sweat on this one.
He pulls his baseball cap down a little lower and grins. ]
Now you buy me coffee.
[ He walks closer, bumping his right shoulder against Blake's. ]
[ The once-shy smile breaks out into something more pleasant and genuine, not held back in any way now that Barnes has outed them as companions in some sense of the word; no one would believe they're strangers to each other now, not that Blake was necessarily banking on that, anyway. But it helps to know the narrative ahead of time, and since he's fine to let Bucky take the lead, it must be okay. ]
Shut up, you can't pretend like you don't already know. But I'll buy you that coffee and we're gonna catch up anyway.
[ There's plenty to be said. Blake's been busy on and off the grid. And he's making waves, at times, that get national attention. It's a spotlight he's not used to having shined in his eyes. ]

[ He knows from stalking Steve back when he'd been on the run that the TV misses a lot. Mostly, it misses the details that are actually important. ]
I do know what actress you're supposedly dating this month, though. She can do better.
[ And he knows he's not exactly stalkable. The US government can't find him, so there's no way Blake can if Bucky doesn't want to be found. Of course, Bucky doesn't really mind Blake finding him, but he's got to keep Steve and the others safe from detection and Blake can be a liability to them, even if he doesn't mean to be. ]
[ It's fair to assume there aren't many people, if any, that know everything there is to know about Robin John Blake. For decades now he's found plenty of ways to alienate himself from the general consensus of what life's supposed to be, particularly for someone of his standing. It's really no fault of his friends that he's generally unavailable: John aims in that direction for much the same reason Bucky's doing so now.

Yeah, well, it's the same complaint all my exes have, so I guess I'm not really surprised. Shame, though — pretty sure I never even got a chance to meet this one before they decided we weren't meant to be.
