[ Luna's thankful for the freedom. It had been a nightmare staying trapped while the others were all out here facing dangers that she couldn't help them with. She couldn't even be sure how the fight was going--who was alive or dead.

The freedom gives way to a small measure of relief, but there's so much more left to do and it's no time for relaxing when they've just lost an ally.

She smiles when she hears Harry come in. It hurts the bruise on her cheek, but that's okay. ]

Oh, Harry! I couldn't sleep.

[ She reaches up to the top of a stack several inches above her own height and pulls the top one down to inspect the cover. ]

I thought there might be something useful in here.

I don't blame you-- [ He could hardly sleep for all the work that they needed to be done, for all the thoughts buzzing through his head, for the image of Dobby's great, glassy eyes as they'd wrapped up the tiny elf. So much still to be done. So far to go. ] --but... useful for what, exactly?

[ No matter what she said, Harry wouldn't let Luna come with them. As much as he respected her, understood her (slightly better) now, she'd been a prisoner for long enough. Had suffered enough. ]

[ She takes a deep breath and blows at the dust on the book. It's about the history of brooms, so she puts it on the smaller and less dusty stack behind her and reaches for the next book on the tall stack. ]

I'm sure I'll know the book when I see it.
