Geralt lowers himself into the tub with a hiss, gripping the side of it with his good hand. Whatever salts Jaskier has put in the water to speed his healing burn like hell on the deep gash in his shoulder blade and he grunts, his eyebrows furrowing. He won't complain though, staying absolutely still as he lets the heat from the water seep into his sore muscles.

This is his own damn fault. He'd been reckless and went into the cave expecting one kikimora, when they was an entire pack of them. He is lucky to be alive, truth be told. He should have seen the signs, how they were too many muddled tracks in front of the cave for it to house only one monster, too many cows disappearing to blame a single hungry beast. He hadn't, and is paying the price for it.

He glares at the water, not glancing up when he hears Jaskier come back and step into the room, reaching to tug at the tie holding his hair back, humming when he finds it matted with guts and blood, tangled into his hair.

Geralt grunts at the comment, not dignifying it with an actual answer. He drops his hand when he feels Jaskier's fingers brush against his own and tug at his hair, letting him do what he wants.

Jaskier is gentle enough and Geralt bows his head, his arm coming back to rest on the edge of the tub. He's not relaxing yet, too irritated by his own oversight and the pain in his shoulder, but he knows there is no danger now. "It's kikimora," he rumbles when Jaskier accuses him of being disgusting. He's more or less covered in it.
